Potomac Watershed Cleanup at Accotink Creek in Fairfax City

Location : Woodland Drive between Main Street and Crest - Fairfax, VA 22030

April 12th from 9:00 am to 11:30 am

The Izaak Walton League in cooperation with the Alice Ferguson Foundation will be removing trash from parkland in the Watershed of Accotink Creek as part of the 27th annual "Potomac Watershed Cleanup".

Basic Information

Volunteers will meet on the bike path on Woodland drive at the bottom of the hill near Main street. We will be working in and around a tributary stream of Accotink Creek which runs parallel to Route 236 in Fairfax City from Hallman Street to Presbyterian Way.
Trash bags, gloves and tools will be supplied. There will be some drinking water available but you may wish to bring some of your own.

All volunteers are welcome but minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Participants should dress for the weather conditions as this event will be held rain or shine.
