A group of 12 volunteers participated in the Adopt A Stream Cleanup of Bull Run on May 5th.
Scheduled for 3 hours with the expectation that the seasonal flooding would cover the floodplain with trash. As it happens, the lack of heavy rain since march has meant that our Adopted section of Bull Run has remained fairly free of any new debris. We finished in 2 hours. Most of what we picked up were small bits of styrofoam and plastic and the usual plastic bottles.
4 bags of trash were collected along with some broken glass. Total weight collected 74 pounds.
