23 volunteers participated in the June 4th shore line cleanup of the Park. It was a beautiful day with temperatures in the high seventies and only light winds.
Arlington Fairfax Chapter members Greg Singleton and Rich Vigue brought their motor boats which meant that we had the rare luxury of being able to transport all the volunteers via watercraft to where they were needed most.
The shoreline along Belmont Bay was relatively clean however the shoreline along the Occoquan Bay at the far end of the Park was heavily littered.
Collected were 35 bags of trash, 14 tires and a few large pieces of plastic. Total weight 1218 pounds.
