Adopt A Highway

A great deal of trash that ends up in Virginia's Waterways begins its journey by being discarded on Virginia's Highways. Participation in the Adopt A Highway program can play a big role in minimizing this source of pollution.

Mount Olive and Compton Road

The Chapter has adopted and cleaned the following sections of road in Fairfax County for a number of years.

Mount Olive Road (Route 859)
Section begins at the intersection of Old Mill Road and ends at the intersection of Compton Road (Route 658)

Compton Road (Route 658)
Section begins at the intersection of Mount Olive Road (Route 859) and ends at the intersection of Centreville Road (Route 28).

Latest News

On August 15th, 12 volunteers from Boyscout Troop 1137 cleaned the Chapter's sections on Mount Olive and Compton Roads as well as part of South Bound Route 28 and the Bike trail alongside it

The next scheduled Adopt A Highway cleanup is Sunday December 6, 2009 from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon.
Participants will meet in the Field House Parking lot at 14708 Mount Olive Road Centreville, VA
