This will be the first scheduled Adopt A Stream Cleanup of the new year . Though it may seem strange to schedule this event at this time of you, winter provides an excellent opportunity to remove flood borne trash that was concealed by vegetation during the warmer months.
The designated assembly point will be the Chapter Fieldhouse parking lot at 14708 Mount Olive Road Centreville, Virginia. Access to this section of Cub Run Stream Valley Park is by a pull off near the bridge over Cub Run. There is limited parking and car pooling to the site may be necessary. Distance from the Chapter Field house to the Compton Road Pull Off is 0.6 miles
Note : Participants should dress for the weather conditions. This event may be cancelled if there is a substantial snow on the ground or freezing rain.
Participants may also wish to bring their own water although their will be some drinking water available.
